Philosophy of the Found Object
I inherited my frugal and thrifty mindset from my mom. Thrifting is a sport (to me) and found object is the treasure. The thrill of the hunt resonates with my design approach deeply. Second hand items provide context to my work and articulate the design philosophy that there are truly no original ideas. That as designers we are constantly ‘cutting’ and ‘combining’ bits and pieces into whole works, much like a collage.
