Explorations in material aka ‘shit I have lying around my apartment’ - Harajuku Skateboard is an assemblage of sorts. As teenager I collected just about every single one of Gwen Stefani’s ‘Harajuku Girls’ perfumes, which had dolls as the perfume bottle toppers. They began collecting dust as I never wore them. A coat of spray paint and appliquéd to a Goodwill skateboard, it’s a conversation starter.

Additionally, I am interested in multiples, as seen in the pieces pictured belowe the skateboard. Thrifted and framed, I enjoy controlling the context around the otherwise ordinary objects.
